Xinyu Liu (b. 1996, Hangzhou, China) is a visual artist and photographer based in Eugene, Oregon. His work explores the social functions of urban landscapes and the often-unseen power structures embedded in architecture. By reconstructing psychological landscapes, Xinyu transforms historically charged sites into narrative memories, examining the tension between personal history and collective memory. A current MFA candidate at the University of Oregon, he is the recipient of several awards, including the Urbanautica Institute Award (2023), Jan Zach Memorial Scholarship, and the Nature Art Post-85s Young Photographers Foundation Award.
