Yuran Henrique is an artist and performing artist based in Praia City, Cape Verde. In his paintings, Henrique often depicts scenes from his life and experiences in the cities and neighborhoods of Cabo Verde. With his work he aims to break the negative stereotypes that so often plague Caboverdean and African identity in general. He also works as a cartoonist in the newspaper Expresso das Ilhas newspaper.
