Zavinci (Sounfungoward Lamine Abdou Coulibaly, b. 1994) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and senior art director based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, whose practice spans painting, textile art, digital media, and mixed-media installation. Rooted in a distinctive visual language that blends West African textile traditions with contemporary digital processes, his work revolves around a recurring one-eyed figure—a symbol of the fragmented and subjective nature of perception. Through digital painting, hand-dyed batik, collage, and AI-assisted image-making, Zavinci explores themes of identity, memory, transformation, and the incomplete ways in which we see ourselves and others.
