Artist Profile
Zuzanna Salamon
Scottish contemporary artist
Zuzanna Salamon is a Scottish contemporary artist whose practice explores themes of migration, nature, and cultural belonging through highly detailed charcoal drawing. A graduate of Gray’s School of Art (BA Hons Fine Art, 2020), Salamon constructs richly layered compositions in which natural forms such as feathers, trees, and foliage recur as both symbolic and observational motifs. Her work reflects a sustained interest in transformation, ritual, and the emotional complexities of displacement, often drawing connections between personal narrative and wider ecological systems. Working primarily in charcoal, she achieves remarkable textural precision, rendering scenes that balance atmospheric mood with meticulous detail.
