BE OPEN Art, an online gallery set up by BE OPEN, a humanitarian initiative founded by international businessperson and philanthropist Elena Baturina, is announcing the winners of the first stage of BE OPEN Regional Art Competition in 2025 which covered South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

Thimphu-based artist Tandin Chophel has been awarded BE OPEN Art’s Regional Artist of the Month for South Asia for March, completing the trio of finalists vying for the title of Regional Artist for South Asia. This honor follows Khando Wangmo (Bhutan, February) and Malinda Jayasinghe (Sri Lanka, January) in BE OPEN’s three-month initiative celebrating emerging artistic talent from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
