BE OPEN Art is pleased to announce Lorena Iavorschi as the June Regional Artist of the Month in the Central Europe stage of its 2026 global art competition. As the second monthly winner in this regional stage, she joins the growing selection of outstanding emerging artists representing the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Lorena Iavorschi is a contemporary Romanian painter and illustrator based in Otopeni whose artistic practice is shaped by both personal exploration and traditional craftsmanship. Although oil painting remains her preferred medium, she frequently experiments with acrylics, inks, and mixed media, often incorporating gold leaf to enhance the decorative richness and luminosity of her compositions. Her work reflects a continuous search for harmony between ornament and expression, tradition and contemporary sensibility.
As the June Regional Artist of the Month, Lorena Iavorschi advances to the final selection for the title of Regional Winner of Central Europe, which will be announced at the conclusion of the regional stage alongside the remaining monthly winners.
The selected Regional Winner will receive a €500 cash prize and increased international visibility through the BE OPEN Art platform. Through the Regional Art competition, BE OPEN Art continues its mission to support emerging artists worldwide, fostering artistic innovation, cross-cultural dialogue, and the preservation of regional identities through contemporary art.
