BE OPEN Art is pleased to announce Gintare Maskaliuniene as the July Regional Artist of the Month in the Central Europe stage of its 2026 global art competition. As the third monthly winner in this regional stage, she joins the growing selection of outstanding emerging artists representing the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Gintare Maskaliuniene is a traditional oil painter from Lithuania. A graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2010 and her Master’s degree in 2012. Drawing inspiration from the hazy horizons of the Lithuanian landscape and the quiet presence of nature in everyday life, her paintings portray domestic animals, rural settings, traces of human activity, and the subtle passage of time.
As the July Regional Artist of the Month, Gintare Maskaliuniene advances to the final selection for the title of Regional Winner of Central Europe, which will be announced at the conclusion of the regional stage alongside the remaining monthly winners.
The selected Regional Winner will receive a €500 cash prize and increased international visibility through the BE OPEN Art platform. Through the Regional Art competition, BE OPEN Art continues its mission to support emerging artists worldwide, fostering artistic innovation, cross-cultural dialogue, and the preservation of regional identities through contemporary art.
